Servant Talent is hiring a Compensation Analyst for our client, Alliance Defending Freedom, in Scottsdale, AZ. (alternate locations are DC and Lansdowne, VA)

As the Compensation Analyst, you will report to and work in tangent with the Director of Compensation & Benefits, on compensation programs, policies, and practices to ensure they are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the organization’s objectives.

Your Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide administration support for day-to-day compensation operations as a subject matter expert.
  • Maintain position descriptions for each position; ensure descriptions and classifications accurately and consistently reflect the work being performed by incumbents. This includes collaborating with HRBP, Team Members, and Team Leaders to gather and document duties, responsibilities, and skills and experiences required by each position.
  • Benchmark positions against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position and provide thoughtful and holistic compensation recommendations.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluation and market pricing of positions to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Facilitate the compensation processes such as the annual merit, pay equity analysis, as well as off-cycle promotion and market increases.
  • Prepare reports and perform analysis of internal people data to ensure alignment of compensation approach with the overall HR strategy.
  • Conduct executive compensation market research and analysis in compliance with the Rebuttable Presumption of Reasonableness procedures.
  • Keep abreast of laws, policies, regulations, and best practices in regard to compensation and benefits to ensure compliance and advise HRBP and management as needed.
  • Maintain ongoing data integrity within HRIS. Audit compensation, retirement plans, and benefits data.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of pay structures and compensation models. Building salary structures, creating processes for salary increases and administration, determining approaches to recognition programs and variable pay, and helping to provide education to leaders. This includes partnering with the international HR team to ensure the compensation programs are globally effective.
  • Research and analyze the competitiveness of the total compensation package, including benefits and paid time off; based on findings, recommend changes or updates.
  • Participate in salary surveys as needed.

Qualifications:

  • B.A./B.S. in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred, not required.
  • 3+ years of work in Compensation.
  • Knowledge of Compensation principles, programs, and practices, and Online salary survey library management tools preferred (e.g., CompAnalyst).
  • Experienced in independently conducting research, collecting, analyzing, reporting, and presenting data.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Effective communication both verbally and in writing with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Strict confidentiality; exercising tact and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive, complex, and confidential information.
